Definition of usability
I talk about the definition of usability a lot in my blog. Rather than keep repeating myself, I’m now going to just link to this page.
The ISO definition of usability
According to ISO 9241 – Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals, the definition of usability is:
The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use.
This is what I mean by the word ‘usability’ when I use it in this blog.
